Johanna Faust, a mixed race Jew, prefers to publish pseudonymously. She is committed: first, to preventing war, ecological disaster, and nuclear apocalypse; last to not only fighting for personal privacy & the freedom of information, but, by representing herself as a soldier in that fight, to exhorting others to do the same. She is a poet, always. All these efforts find representation here: "ah, Mephistophelis" is so named after the last line of Christopher Marlowe's Dr. Faustus, whose heretical success flouted the censor for a time.

"Snowden & Hayden In Tuxes & Smiles" Official Meme

This was the original photo, from a massively interesting recent Wired post.
The Retired General claims to not remember taking the photo -- so many kids wanted a chance at the honor, you see.  From the Wired article, via Pecan'd:

“I’m pretty sure in 2011, which is the alleged date of picture I was actually the guest speaker.,.and as I recall I gave a hell of a speech,” Hayden said in the interview. “An awful lot of young folks were coming up and they wanted to get their picture taken so obviously Mr. Snowden was one of that group. If the picture is authentic, at least from my point of view, it’s not memorable because I don’t remember the young man.”

And one of the first to call  Snowden a 'Traitor', even now, that we know all that he knew about, all about which we had no idea,  he calls the idea of clemency toward Snowden outraegeous.

And consider what he knew, what he must have known:

From  Wikipedia:

Michael Vincent Hayden (born March 17, 1945) is a retired United States Air Force four-star general and former Director of the National Security Agency and Director of the Central Intelligence Agency. From April 21, 2005 to May 26, 2006 he was the Principal Deputy Director of National Intelligence, a position which once made him "the highest-ranking military intelligence officer in the armed forces".

He was Director of the National Security Agency (NSA) from 1999 to 2005. During his tenure as director, he oversaw the controversial NSA surveillance of technological communications between persons in the United States and alleged foreign terrorist groups, which resulted in the NSA warrantless surveillance controversy.

On May 8, 2006, Hayden was nominated for the position of CIA Director and reappointment to the rank of general following the May 5 resignation of Porter J. Goss, and on May 23 the Senate Intelligence Committee voted 12–3 to send the nomination to the Senate floor. His nomination was confirmed by the United States Senate on May 26 by a vote of 78–15. On May 30, 2006 and again the following day at the CIA lobby with President George W. Bush in attendance, Hayden was sworn in as the Director of the Central Intelligence Agency.
